Administration Department

As the Executive Director, Ms. Kauss oversees the administration of the Agency and works with the Board of Commissioners to carry out the Agency's mission and policies. Ms. Kauss is dedicated to discovering and utilizing innovative approaches to lead the Agency in its mission; providing and advocating affordable housing; and presenting opportunities for families to become self-sufficient.

The Administration Department is comprised of the Executive Director, Deputy Executive Director, and supportive staff team members. The Administration Department oversees the day-to-day operation of the Housing Authority, which is carried out by approximately 100 dedicated employees working under the guidance of several department Directors and are led by the Executive Director and Deputy Executive Director.

As Deputy Executive Director, Ms. Vázquez oversees the Public Housing Program and the Housing Choice Voucher (formally Section 8 Program) Departments. Ms. Vázquez works with employees to ensure that the Housing Authority provides safe, decent, and affordable housing opportunities to program participants and their families.
